Hawker Hawfinch Fighter
Deigned as a replacement for the Armstrong Whitworth Siskin and Gloster Gamecock, the Hawker Hawfinch first flew in March 1927. The competing Bristol Bulldog had a higher top speed and was judged to be easier to maintain, so was ordered into production.
No other Hawfinches were built and the single prototype was used for experiments with single bay wings as well as being fitted with floats
