Hawker Dantorp Torpedo Bomber
A development of the Hawker Horsley, the Hawker Dantop was a three seat torpedo bomber built for the Danish Navy. Differences to the Horsley included the fitting of a Armstrong Siddeley Leopard 14-cylinder twin-row air-cooled radial engine, at the time the most powerful radial engine in the world. Additionally, the Dantorp had interchangeable wheeled or float undercarriage.
Two aircraft were built for Denmark, which operated them from 1933 until the German invasion of 1940. Although a production licence was obtained, no more were built due to a shortage of funds.
