We stumbled on the Colbinabbin Silo art as we drove through the town on our way to Wodonga. Easily visible from the highway as you drive towards town it a good excuse to stop, take some pictures and then go to the local bakery for a mid-morning tea.
The murals depict the railway and its importance to the town when it was developing as a farming centre. Other murals show the local fire tender Lu Loo, the locals in their 1900s finery at the annual picnic and a jet powered tractor that attracted 20,000 people to the town when it was displayed.
The solos were painted by local artist Tim Bowtell during April and May 2020.
