Air Department AD Scout

Air Department AD Scout

Designed by the British Admiralty’s Air Department as a fighter aircraft to defend Britain from Zeppelin bombers during World War I, four Air Department AD Scout prototypes were built. Pilots found them to be overweight, fragile, sluggish, and difficult to handle, resulting in the project’s cancellation and the scrapping of all 4 aircraft.
