Dornier Do 17 in British Service

Following the fall of Yugoslavia, two Dornier Do 17K bombers escaped Yugoslavia carrying King Peter and gold. Upon arrival in Heliopolis, Egypt, the aircraft were given the serials AX706 and AX707. Both aircraft were destroyed in an air attack on Ismaïlia airfield on 27 August 1941 only eight days after arrival.
