Dornier Do 217 in British Service

Dornier Do 217 in British Service

The first Dornier Do 217 fell into British hands when a Do 217M was abandoned by its aircrew over England on the night of 23 February 1944, but made a perfect belly-landing near Cambridge. It was repaired for evaluation by the RAF. Towards the end of the Second World War and immediately after, additional aircraft were captured by British Forces as evaluated.
