French Operated Heinkel He-111

On 28 August 1944, French troops captured Heinkel He 111 H-1 Werk Nummer 5113. This aircraft had been modified as a VIP transport plane, for the personal aircraft of General Weise, commander of the 11th Panzer Division.

After tests it was assigned to the Dor group (Free French) that later became the GB (Bomber Group) 1/31 Aunis where it was named La Pinasse. Although not used as a combat aircraft the squadron used it as a transport. It continued in used until 1949 when it was scrapped.
