Ikarus Orkan Yugoslav Light Bomber

Ikarus Orkan

The Ikarus Orkan was a three-seat twin-engined light bomber/reconnaissance aircraft designed in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia before World War II.

The prototype was completed in April 1940, with the maiden flight made at Zemun airport on 24 June 1940. When landing, it was damaged and, due to the war in Europe, its repair took longer until March 1941. During the brief war the Orkan was damaged, captured and transported to Germany for testing.
