Kawasaki Ki-88

Conceived as a single engined fighter with a similar layout to the Bell P-39, the Ki-88 did not progress past the mock-up stage. The engine was to be mounted behind the pilot, driving the propellor through an extension shaft. Armament was planned to be one 37mm cannon and two 20mm cannons.
