Mitsubishi A7M Reppu

Mitsubishi A7M Reppu

With the code name Sam, The Mitsubishi A7M Reppū (Strong Gale) was designed as the successor to the Imperial Japanese Navy’s A6M Zero. Delays with engine development and changing priorities led to it failing to enter service before the end of World War Two. Only ten aircraft (two prototypes and eight production A7M2 variants) were produced.
