Netherlands Protected Cruiser HNLMS Noordbrabant

HNLMS Noordbrabant was a Holland-class protected cruiser of the Royal Netherlands Navy launched on 17 January 1899. Prior to the First World War, Noordbrabant spent most of her time in the Netherland East Indies. On 6 January 1916, she rescued the crew of British submarine HMS E17 which had become stranded on the Dutch coast and was later scuttled by her crew.

Decommissioned in 1920, she was converted into an accommodation ship. In 1940 she was set on fire by her crew to prevent her capture by the Germans. The wreck was later scrapped.
