North American XB-21

North American XB-21

First flying on 22 December 1936, the North American B-21 Dragon was a medium bomber designed for the United States Army Air Corps. Although having superior performance to it’s competitor the Douglas B-18 Bolo, it was considerably more expensive. As a result and although a small batch of evaluation aircraft were ordered, only the prototype was built.
