Arado Ar 196 Floatplanes of Seeaufklärungsgruppe 128

Seeaufklärungsgruppe 128 (Sea Reconnaissance Group 128) operated Arado Ar 196 floatplanes from land bases in France. The unit was formed in June 1941 from parts of Seeaufklärungsgruppe 126 and Seeaufklärungsgruppe 130.

The first staffel, 1./SAGr.128, was based in Brest. On February 1, 1944 it was redesignated 8./ZG1.

The second staffel, 2./SAGr.128, was based in Berre. On 21 August, 1944 it relocated to Friedrichshafen where it disbanded five days later.
