Bristol Type 123

Bristol Type 123

The Bristol Type 123 was a biplane fighter designed to Air Ministry specification F.7/30. It called for a four-gun fighter with the preference that it was powered by the evaporatively-cooled Rolls-Royce Goshawk. Testing revealed serious lateral instability, which re-designs failed to reduce. Further development was abandoned and F.7/30 was won by the Gloster Gladiator.
