Messerschmitt Bf 109 in Croatian Service
The Croatian Air Force used Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighters during The Second World War on the Eastern Front and against Yugoslav Partisans. Towards the end of the war several Bf 109s defected to Partisan and Allied territory, while other aircraft were found intact at captured airfields.
