A development of the Doflug D.3801, the D.3802 used the Hispano-Suiza 12Z engine of 969.4 kW (1,300 hp) and a strengthened wing to improve performance. Although having several shortcomings, 12 were produced, serving with Fliegerstaffel 17 and several other units.
