HMS Royal Oak was a Revenge-class battleship of the Royal Navy. Launched in November 1914, she served throughout World War One, seeing action at the Battle of Jutland. She was sunk on the 13th of October 1939, when U-47 captained by Gunter Prien penetrated the defences of Scapa Flow and torpedoed her.
