Nestled in the Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia, Narracan Falls is a small but accessible waterfall. Located approximately 15 km south of Moe and about 140 km east of Melbourne it’s easy to get to.
Parking
There is a car park located near the falls, just past a narrow one-lane bridge over Narracan Creek. Although large it is not paved so may become muddy after rain. There are no toilet facilities or garbage bins here, so make arrangements beforehand and take any rubbish with you.
Located here is a small plaque commemorating the early settlers to the area.
The Falls
The falls are approximately 8 meters high and 15 meters wide. A short, unmarked walking path leads from the car park to the base of the falls, passing through a grassy paddock that may have livestock. The area is generally accessible, though the ground can be uneven. After rain the track leading down to the lower level may be slippery so take care.
The pool at the base is popular for swimming, but visibility is poor, and there are submerged rocks, so swimming is not advised.
