The Pinnacles Walking Track is on the New South Wales south coast, a 10-minute drive north of Eden. Located in the Beowa National Park, this 1.1km loop is graded at level 3 by New South Wales Parks and Wildlife, mainly because it is unpaved and has two large staircases with 60 and 30 steps each. There are two lookouts on the track where you can view the Pinnacles erosion feature. This consists of cliffs of soft white sands capped with a layer of red gravel clay. Deposited during the Tertiary geological period it is to 65 million years ago.
Parking is available in a carpark at the start of Pinnacles loop walking track. No-flush toilets are also located here.
This is a short and easy walk with a fascinating and colourful eroded cliff. If you extend your visit and walk to the nearby beach, remember that it is unpatrolled, so take care if swimming.
